Not because of the bail / disappointment / disgrace / embarrassment. But they shelled out thousands of dollars in order to … get their darlings the hell OUT OF THE HOUSE, and placed under the auspices of a four-year babysitting service.
Now, despite their best efforts, there’s the possibility that some of the geniuses may be coming back home.

Going past it and getting home I noticed that State Street itself wasn’t as bad, but I do need to pick up a street broom and sweep my sidewalk clean of plastic cups and other detritus.

I also encountered a person I know who is a landlord in the area and he was about to show an apartment, and while talking he mentioned that he was getting supplies together to clean the yards of his properties there.

I had started to make an effort before this event to get to know some of the local businesses better. Beyond the bars, there’s several small convenience stores and take out places, and two new cafes (one opened last year, one just opened this week).

So far, the people I talked last night were surprised that there were no broken windows in their storefronts from the weekend.

Note: I’m not a home owner, but a long-term renter, and not a college student.
