I desperately hope you’re being sarcastic; absence of evidence is not evidence of absence.

I, for one, am currently using this principal in my attempt to find people who read “old books.”

Now, of course, the Internet sounds like a terrible place to do that. But I will also say that I’ve tried at univeristies (both public and private) and on discussion boards of famous authors.

This, however (philosophically) ties back into the concept of The Raven Paradox.

The Raven Paradox is a thought/philosophical exercise on the application of the scientific method to rare events.

Which, I’d love to discuss. But I can’t tell if you’re being sarcastic or not…

u2 – From the age of 6 to 10 he lived in Indonesia. So you’d have to find people that remember hanging out with him when he was 5 years old. Which, I don’t know about you, but I have trouble recalling memories from being a toddler.

I think it would be interesting if he ran. I’d give him a shot. Bill Clinton probably would not have won in 1992 had not Ross Perot been such a strong third party candidate. Two horse race, Papa Bush probably would have been re-elected back in 1992 over Clinton.

P.S. Trumps “birther” point has merit. He’s stated that he’s never heard of any childhood friend of President Obama. When have you even seen someone on television about being in grade school with the President? Never. That’s his point. It’s a valid one.
