Even moreso, though, because it’s already stated in the bill that clergy not only doesn’t have to perform the ceremony, but is exempt from any civil or other action should they refuse to do so:

However, there are plenty of other places that have already passed same-sex marriage laws. Can’t we just look out of NY and see what some of the negative consequences have been?
