Of course, the excerpted stuff in the TU often does not represent the heart of what I wanted to say, either. I've learned to live with it.
And you won't have that problem anymore.

Archived = they take your link off of the portal page, but everything remains as is, otherwise (I'm still there, a year later), so, yes, it does create search conflicts when the same posts appear in multiple places with the same publication dates. I originally got the TU export too, and put all of my TU posts up on my own website, but then decided to wipe them all and just go forward with (mostly) new material at Indie Albany. It seemed to me that having it in both places somehow indicated to searchers who saw the same articles appearing in multiple/related spaces in their search results that I somehow endorsed or cross-promoted my material still being on the TU, which of course I don't. (I'm not advocating such an approach for Kevin, mind you, since he left under different terms than I did, but rather just noting how I dealt with the SEO conflict myself . . . ).

Yep! It's one of the few perks granted. You don't get pay, but you do get exposure and you share the content, so to speak. And it was actually very quick: I asked for the export file (when I realized such a thing existed and I needed it) late on Friday and had it by Sunday.
