Bad Week for MMA and Pro Wrestling Shitshows

What a terrible week it’s been for the more disreputable members of the MMA and Pro Wrestling community.

Details of Frank Trigg’s firing from HDNet come from TheDirty.com, and it’s bad. In addition to an ongoing affair with a 23-year-old staffer, the former Welterweight fighter is also alleged to have beaten his wife and in one instance choked her unconscious. In front of his kids, lest you think this story can’t get any worse. So long and fuck off, Frank.

Still rockin' the black and white.

Speaking of spousal abuse, earlier this week Scott Hall got out of rehab, went on a binge, and is alleged to have physically assaulted his girlfriend as well. She claims she’s dropping the charges, though the police report states that she had visible red marks on her throat and that Hall was foaming at the mouth and needed to be restrained with two sets of handcuffs.

And speaking of guys who have defied my death pool for ten years running, Kurt Angle announced he’s not going to the US Olympic Trials after all. Color me sarcastically surprised. Angle, who used to make the same unbelievable claim about entering the world of MMA, cited major hamstring and knee injuries. He is still, however, wrestling full-time for TNA Impact and has a cage match coming up against Sting. Look, I’m not saying he’s making this up, I’m just saying that…okay, I am. He’s full of shit. I believe his body and joints are broken down from years of abuse and neglect. But just like all his MMA talk, there was never anything behind it and anyone who thought he’d ever go through with it was even more foolish than he is.
