The Monkees or Neil Diamond?

I have to go with Neil Diamond on this one.

I actually went back and forth for several minutes weighing the pros and cons. “The Monkees” almost deserve it for “Head” alone and Neil Diamond’s inherent cheesiness at times. But then, you don’t have The Monkees without Diamond and the other songwriters recruited to build their catalogue.

Also, “Forever in Blue Jeans.”
