To Kill a Saturday
UPDATE 8:53pm – Due to circumstances beyond our control, we had to change hte location of the event. It will now be held at The Book House of Stuyvesant Plaza, to whom I am grateful and personally indebted for their generosity and enthusiasm. All other details remain the same.
Hey everyone!
Expect a few posts over the next couple weeks as we prepare To Kill A Saturday.
I know what you’re thinking: Kevin, that is such an awesome name. And I say thank you, though I’m not sure if I came up with it or if it was the person helping to coordinate the event, Mary Darcy from All Over Albany.
“Enough already,” you exclaim. “Just tell us what it is!”
Alright, alright.
“To Kill a Saturday” is a marathon reading of Harper Lee’s To Kill a Mockingbird, which celebrates its 50th Anniversary this year.
In addition to recognizing one of our favorite books, the event will also raise funds and awareness for Literacy NY of the Greater Capital Region.
It goes down Saturday, November 6th 2010 and starts at 9:00am and continues until we’ve finished the book (until approximately 9:00pm).
