Although I’ve never met the man, I’d like to wish the best to Jay Gallagher.

Jay Gallagher has been in the news industry for over forty years and made his mark covering State politics here in Albany. He was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer last June, and since then has been writing a blog for the Times Union website. Much of it is on State politics and history, with some of it also detailing his ongoing battle with cancer. It’s an interesting, and at times inspiring, read.

Jay is going in for a procedure today and could use your thoughts, prayers, or whatever other means of silent support your faith allows.

If Jay ever decides he wants his own bobblehead, he has my vote. He and his family are in my prayers today.

His blog is really thoughtful; I hope some of your other readers check it out. Thanks for the post, Kevin.

Hi Kevin. And who says the TU bloggers are a narcissistic bunch? Kudos to you for taking a few minutes to send some good vibes to Jay. Prayers or other means of sending good energy are always encouraged for all our bloggers!
