In a housing project in Huntsville, a young mother fell asleep and awoke to an intruder. Thrashing about her bed and attempting to take her sexually, she cried out for help. Her cries were answered by her loving and heroic brother, Antoine Dodson, who chased the man off. His actions are a testament to unquestioned courage, care, and commitment to family. All parties escaped without any injuries, sans a traumatic experience for the near-victim.

Then the news showed up, and the brother who saved his sister became one of my new favorite people (at the 1:00 mark).

We should all strive to be this heroic while maintaining such casual absurdity.

A remix of the video from pop culture auto-tuners The Gregory Brothers is here.

Update – new version of video posted.

Isn’t it crazy the pool of people local newscasts interview? Obviously, they interview some beauties down in Huntsville. At least this guy had teeth. More than Secretariat did but at least he had them.

This was awesome. How does the camera man keep from shaking? He had to be laughing hysterically.

Also, I think your sister may again be in the running for ‘comment of the week’….”I wish he were my brother instead of you” HAHAHA

  6. I want to hear more from the victims at 6!!

  7. HopeFul says:

Oh, my. He’s going to protect the neighborhood!! Thank goodness.

  8. That is awesome! I love the auto tune version! It’s gonna be the biggest hit since Pants on the Ground. Going Aluminum foil.

  9. Laurel says:

I keep picturing the perp watching that and hoping the cops find him before Mr. Dodson does. What a great guy.

  10. Donna H says:

That’s better, Kevin. I wish this guy was my brother! This is the kind of brother to have. One that’s got your back and is there for you.

What’s been disturbing me on FB is that this clip is being passed around as if there’s something comical about the victim and her brother. It takes on a real racist tone like check out how hysterically these people in the projects acted and that’s somehow funny. WTF? Of course, they’re hysterical. Someone crawled into her window and tried to rape her. Who wouldn’t be?

I just don’t think it would have gotten the mocking it did if this had happened to a brother and sister in a mostly white suburb or town instead of to two black siblings in the inner city. Everyone would have been saying what they should have in the first place — her brother’s a hero for protecting his sister.

hahahahaha amazing. it’s like a movie but better because it’s real.
