Mockingbird Marathon a Resounding Success

To say To Kill a Saturday was a resounding success would be an understatement.

We were able to collect over $800 in cash and checks alone the day of the event, and that’s not even counting the online donations that came in through the website. You can still contribute by visiting their donation page.

The event surpassed our expectations for both the generosity and genuine enthusiasm of those involved.

With that, there are certain people without whom this event would not be possible.

They were a big hit and actually sold out, with all proceeds going to Literacy NY of the Greater Capital Region.

And thanks as well to local student, graphic designer, and Times Union “This is College?!” blogger Erin Morelli for making that wonderful design you saw everywhere (including this blog post).

Finally, and most importantly, thanks to all of you who simply showed up to the event and gave your time to listen and raise awareness for this cause.
