Where Have I Seen This Before?
I was skipping through my reader during my morning break and came across a post on the Clifton Park blog from Lauren Cardinal (what a great last name by the way) about Tad, the new library mascot in the town.
It included a picture of the new mascot:
And it gave me pause.
In fact, it haunted me. There was something about Tad that just didn’t sit right. Where had I seen him before? Was he a mascot previously for another library or other government institution? Does he have a brother that lives in Troy? Perhaps I’ve seen him before somewhere in the dreamscape I explore nightly. Seriously, you’d be surprised how many times someone I meet looks familiar to me because they resemble a stranger in a dream I once had.
Then I realized where I’d seen him before.
OH JESUS OH GOD OH NO
Run, Jim! Get out of Clifton Park! Don’t go to the libr—
Oh no. It’s too late!
(and in case you missed it, check out this week’s Blogorama post – plenty of good stuff!)

Hahaha
This is excellent!
I have a picture of my dog where she looks a little too much like the Predator.

I don’t really want to talk about it.
Remember the “fight music” on Star Trek….I love that….
I think that’s the mascot for Albany High.
Tony – for you.
Poor Tad, you’re going to give him a complex! I promise he won’t try to attack anyone… as long as you return your books on time.
You can’t fool me, Lauren. I see him going for that boulder!
Can’t see the image of Shatner/Kirk/Denny Crane without “Priceline Negotiator” tagline and music playing in stereo in my head. I suspect there is a pill to cure that…
ErinsDad - I bet buying a season on DVD would cure that.
I feel so close to you right now.
You made my whole weekend….
This was the one that freaked me out like that, even though it took me a while to figure it out, too . . .
Crap! I can’t post links anymore without messing up the code! I suck! The link was supposed to be to this picture . . . http://totallylookslike.files.wordpress.com/2009/01/posh-spice-tll-sleestak.jpg . . . sorry, dooder.
@JES: Please stop posting links to where one might find photos of other reptilian species (real, imagined or otherwise). As a long term Star Trek Fan, I find your comments comparing Posh Spice to Sleestak on a post about Gorns an affront to my esteemed position, as well as to the Gorn’s position in Star Trek lore.
Kevin, you are one funny dude.
