  1. GenWar says:

The subtitle of this entry really should have been:

“Proof that some people truly never learn…”

  2. SiobhanGK says:

Your Alive @ 5 lineups are always much better than the real thing. I mean, Haddaway? Come ON now. A star like that would NEVER do Alive @ 5.

  3. Leigh says:

Oh, man, please let people be fooled again. Much like last year, I wish this was true. Boz Scaggs?!? My mom would die. Oh Lido-oh.

  4. tom says:

didn’t you do this last year? ;)

  5. Hal Jordan says:

A real prank would’ve been to announce that outside alcohol would once again be permitted at Alive at 5. Fascists.

  6. PW - Paulie WalnutZ says:

    Live at 5…Lame at 5:30

  7. Gman says:

The Stroke Me boxers are still ready for Billy Squier’s appearance. When’s that again? I waited and waited last summer for naught.

  8. Sean says:

Yeah, thankfully I remembered you did one like this last year part way through, but you had me almost excited there for a second.

  9. john says:

Black Street and K-C and JOJO I’m there. All my life I waited for someone like you and I thank god that I finally found you “yeah boy”.

  10. Thanks, Kevin. We are soooooooo psyched for Leo Sayer! Do you know if he’ll be playing anything from his album, “SoothSayer”?

    • Greg - He’s actually going to play “SoothSayer” from start to finish, like Slayer did for their recent tour where they played “Seasons in the Abyss” in full on all their live stops.

  11. Kathy says:

    April Fool’s….

  12. kristin says:

    Damn you!

I got excited over Leo Sayer!

  13. xtine says:

Oh come on now! Can you come up with an original idea for April Fool’s Day?

  14. xtine says:

Kevin, the post or comment? I saw both. In comparison, last year’s lineup was much better.

  15. Joe says:

    Trouble maker!!!!!!!

  16. xtine is sipping on that haterade

  17. Gray Cat says:

Nowif Jack Wagner doesn’t come I’ll be pissed.

  18. zz says:

Now if Slayer was to play Alive@Five, I would actually go.

  19. Cute~Ella says:

    Hahaha. LOVED it!

Think you’ll get the backlash from last year?

  20. Em says:

Thanks for getting No Diggity in my head for the rest of the day :/T

  21. ErinsDad says:

Wow, that was just mean. I would like to see Michael McDonald if he brought the rest of the Doobies with him. From the little I recall, their shows in the late ’70s at SPAC were awesome.

    Wow – I’m old.

    • ErinsDad - McDonald on his own, though? No way.

Also, true story: the reason he ended up on this list (other than it being sort of an in-joke with a friend of mine; ditto for Boz) is that I was at the Laundromat the other night and a commercial came on the radio for Folger’s. And, yes indeed, it was Michael McDonald singing an extended version of the Folger’s song (“the best part of waking up, etc.”) in that exaggerated croon of his. It was one of the most ridiculous things I have ever heard.

  22. Rob Madeo says:

Perfect! Boz Scaggs for the scuzz bags…

  23. Jessica R says:

I wish you put Chris Brown in here.

  24. Debbie says:

That was really mean Kevin. I was so looking forward to this lineup. Maybe we can chat with the Mayor!

  25. ErinsDad says:

KM – I cannot disagree – McDonald solo for more than about 15 minutes would be nasty.

  26. M.L. Cullen says:

Michael Mc Donald? Really? Maybe for the obvious reason, ”
What a fool believes”. Todd Rungren played in Schenectady’s Central Park, for free, a few years back, so hey, just because your gullible, doesn’t mean it’s not true.

  27. GOOSE says:

    Happy Fools Day the 13th.

    :(

  28. NFL says:

The schedule on the website is totally different from your listing…
